How I'd build a one-person business (if I started over in 2026)

Evolution of the One-Person Business Model
📌 Traditional one-person business models like info products and coaching reigned supreme for decades as scalable options for solo creators.
🚀 The speed of change is increasing; what worked in 2025 might not work in 2026, suggesting the next dominant business phase might only last two to three years.
💡 A single person can run an entire online business (marketing, sales, product) by leveraging their expertise and creating content to drive traffic to a product that solves a problem they personally experienced.

The Decline of Static Information Products
💥 Info products (e.g., static PDFs, 10-hour course libraries) are plateauing or "dying" because the baseline for results has been raised due to AI accessibility.
📈 Markets move through five predictable stages of awareness and saturation; the current stage emphasizes brand and community over product claims, but even authenticity is becoming saturated.
🤖 While AI makes it easy to create mediocre content and products, it simultaneously makes human knowledge and nuance more valuable, as AI cannot replicate specific, deeply-honed expertise.

The Future: Learning Experiences over Static Courses
🛠️ The future involves evolving from static educational content to interactive learning experiences, mirroring the pre-industrial apprenticeship model.
🧠 The new value proposition is guidance, practice, and real-time feedback delivered via tools like an AI chatbot trained on your specific knowledge base.
✅ This new format is more effective because it ensures users do the work and achieve a final product, overcoming the issue that 90% of course buyers do not complete them.

Leveraging Specific Knowledge with AI
🌟 Your advantage lies not in avoiding what AI can do, but in **doing what only *you* would think to do with AI—applying your specific knowledge (genuine curiosity + deep experience).
💻 One actionable path is building a micro SaaS by turning your existing successful prompts or frameworks into a hyperspecific software interface with 'Learn,' 'Practice,' and 'Create' tabs.
⚙️ Building this new structure involves creating a system prompt** that defines the AI's personality, knowledge boundaries, and behavior rules based on your unique expertise.

Key Points & Insights
➡️ The speed of adaptation is crucial for one-person businesses; prioritize speed and adaptability over building long-term infrastructure for short-term models.
➡️ Meaning in life is generated from struggle, status, and curiosity; relying solely on a linear, mechanical path (like expecting passive income forever) is not meaningful.
➡️ To succeed against commoditization, focus on building a product based on specific knowledge—the nuanced details only you would create by combining your unique interests and experiences with AI tools.
