Bagaimana Melatih Critical Thinking - Cara Berpikir Kritis

The Importance of Decision Making and Critical Thinking
📌 Daily life involves constant decision-making, ranging from trivial choices to significant life impacts, as life is structured by the decisions we take.
🤔 Not all decisions made are correct, making techniques like critical thinking essential for improving the percentage of correct decisions.
🔍 Critical thinking involves dissecting a situation or problem to find the actual root cause, often hidden, to enable the best decision-making.

Characteristics of Critical Thinkers
🧐 Individuals with good critical thinking skills do not jump to conclusions based on what *feels* right; they are naturally more skeptical and observant.
📉 They break down problems, analyze them, and separate irrelevant information from useful data to derive logical and sensible conclusions.
🛠️ Critical thinking combines intellectual skills with the ability to analyze information, synthesize options, and reach the best conclusion for problem-solving.
💡 This skill enhances comprehension, allowing individuals to deeply investigate issues from multiple perspectives, rather than just one side.

Developing Critical Thinking Skills
🧘 Critical thinking is a soft skill that can be learned and is not restricted by any specific field of study (e.g., economics, science, languages).
❓ The first step to training critical thinking is seeking information through constant questioning and maintaining high curiosity.
🗣️ Practice asking yourself and others questions using the 5W 1H principle (What, Why, Where, When, Who, How) when encountering new information or problems.
👂 Active listening is crucial; recognizing that your current perspective might not be the absolute truth helps in gathering information and formulating appropriate responses.
⚖️ Consider all possible outcomes (positive and negative) before making a decision that might affect others, which inherently involves risk management.

Key Points & Insights
➡️ To improve decision accuracy, adopt the critical thinking approach to systematically analyze problems and uncover underlying issues.
➡️ Cultivate curiosity by consistently applying the 5W 1H framework to any new information or problem encountered.
➡️ Listen actively to others' perspectives as part of information gathering to ensure comprehensive understanding before responding or concluding.
➡️ Before acting, weigh the positive and negative impacts of any potential change, which serves as an exercise in risk anticipation and management.
