Propaganda Due (P2): A Conspiracy Network
📌 The discussion centers on the Propaganda Due (P2) Masonic Lodge, described as potentially the largest conspiracy in history, with documented involvement in financial schemes, arms dealing, and geopolitical positioning.
👤 Led by Licio Gelli, a former fascist militant who switched allegiance to Soviet intelligence, the lodge operated across Italy, Argentina, the Vatican, and New York.
🏛️ P2 originated from the Grand Orient of Italian Freemasonry but operated with distinct "propaganda lodges" characteristics, where entry was granted based on secrets shared with the Grand Master, not admission by peers.

Financial Scandals and Key Figures
💰 The collapse of P2 was significantly linked to the Banco Ambrosiano scandal, involving financial maneuvers that reached the US via the acquisition of the Franklin National Bank in New York.
👨‍💼 Key figures included financial genius Michele Sindona, who was convicted of fraudulent bankruptcy in the US (Judge Thomas Griesa) and later extradited to Italy where he died of poisoning while serving a life sentence for the murder of investigator Giorgio Ambrosoli.
🏦 Roberto Calvi, President of Banco Ambrosiano, was found hanged under a London bridge; this case was reopened as homicide in 2015 due to Masonic symbols (bricks in pockets) found upon his death.

Political Manipulation in Italy and Argentina
🇮🇹 The widow of Roberto Calvi accused Giulio Andreotti (Christian Democrat) of being the intellectual author of her husband's murder for channeling funds from Banco Ambrosiano to the Polish Solidarity trade union, challenging the "Ostpolitik" alignment of the Vatican's "left" wing (represented by Cardinal Casaroli and Bishop Marcinkus).
🇦🇷 P2 heavily influenced Argentine politics, aiming to maintain power via Admiral Emilio Eduardo Massera, a P2 member, during the military dictatorship.
🚫 Both Aramburu (Argentina) and Aldo Moro (Italy) were reportedly killed because they were "pacifiers" seeking dialogue or integration of political opposition (Peronism and the Italian Communist Party, respectively), threatening the conspirators' goal of perpetual conflict.

The Role of P2 in Argentine Politics and Terrorism
💣 P2 allegedly financed and supported the Montoneros guerrilla group—despite Montoneros ostensibly being left-wing—to destabilize the government and prevent economic alignment with the West, notably opposing the economic plans of Minister José Alfredo Martínez de Hoz.
🔫 The Montoneros' return to Argentina aimed to kill Martínez de Hoz and his economic team, as their opposition to P2's interests spanned oil deals, steel production, and geopolitical strategies like opposing the Falklands/Malvinas War.
💥 The P2 network utilized extreme-right terrorist Stefano Delle Chiaie, who also trained Montoneros and was linked to drug barons in Bolivia, highlighting the ideological fluidity of the conspiracy where right and left-wing terrorists collaborated for the same disruptive goals.

Key Points & Insights
➡️ Conspiracies are historical reality, occurring across all ages; dismissing serious investigation as mere "conspiracy theory" serves to discredit important research.
➡️ P2’s purpose was not strictly anti-communist, but rather to prevent political pacification (like Moro's plan for Communist inclusion) to maintain a state of conflict that served their financial and geopolitical interests.
➡️ The P2 network infiltrated key positions, ensuring that potential pacifiers like Aldo Moro and Aramburu were eliminated, demonstrating a clear mechanism of survival for those advancing the conspiracy's hidden agenda.
