AI Won’t Take Your Job, The Person Using It Will

The Rapid Rise and Impact of AI
📌 AI advancement is happening very fast, with the current state being the "worst it's going to be" compared to future outputs.
🤖 A significant impact is being seen in job displacement, with many staff roles being replaced by AI agents.
📈 AI presents massive opportunities, creating new roles and entrepreneurs, but those fearful are likely those who are not upskilling adequately.

Upskilling and Human Value Proposition
⭐ The unique value humans bring in the future will be centered on what AI lacks, specifically humanizing stuff and soft power skills like communication and storytelling.
🛠️ If AI can perform your job execution, the value lies in human direction, original thought, and agency—the ability to set strategic direction.
🏃 To reduce fear of AI, individuals must actively use the tools, learn through courses and events, and practice daily to realize personal adaptation opportunities.

AI Application in Business and Workflow Automation
⚙️ AI is being integrated into core business functions like business development and marketing to accelerate tasks previously taking days, such as lead generation.
📈 Workflow automation tools like Gun Loop and N8N can automate multi-step processes, exemplified by generating lists of businesses and extracting data directly into spreadsheets.
🎥 Advanced use cases include deploying AI agents to scan platforms like TikTok for viral content, generating custom scripts, and using AI actors to create localized marketing content globally.

Prompting Strategy and Model Selection
🎭 Effective prompting involves assigning the AI a persona (e.g., "You are a strict recruiter") to set the tone and context for specialized responses.
🎯 Be highly specific in prompts; vague instructions lead the AI to hallucinate on missing parameters, as AI only reflects the data provided.
📚 Researching the specific model (e.g., Gemini's speed models vs. reasoning models) is crucial, as the output quality depends on aligning the task with the model's strengths.

Data Context and Governmental Oversight
🌐 AI lacks local context, making the community responsible for building and feeding data specific to local contexts (e.g., African or Ghanaian data) into the models.
🏛️ The government needs to involve technical experts in policy discussions, as reliance on "career politicians" leads to uninformed decisions, citing Albania's plan to give MPs AI agents as a contrast.
✍️ There is a critical need for documentation and data collection across Ghanaian institutions, as the reliance on oral tradition hinders the contextual training necessary for robust local AI application.

Key Points & Insights
➡️ If AI can execute your job, focus on developing soft power skills (communication, storytelling) as these represent irreducible human value.
➡️ Treat AI adoption as a continuous learning process, not a static skill acquisition; practice daily to reduce fear and uncover new roles.
➡️ When prompting, assigning a clear persona and providing extensive context is more effective than generic requests, leading to tailored and accurate outputs.
➡️ Policymakers must prioritize upskilling and reskilling, ensuring technical experts, not just political appointees, lead technology adoption discussions.
