Phuket with Baby | Island Hopping Experience & Complete 4 Nights Itinerary

Phuket Trip Logistics & Day 1 Activities
📌 The vlogger details their trip to Phuket, Thailand, which was their first international destination with a 5-month-old baby over a total of seven nights in Thailand.
🚎 Arrival involved a flight from Bhubaneswar to Bangkok, a 3.5-hour layover, and a separate booking from Bangkok to Phuket, arriving around 11:30 AM (Thai time) on Day 1.
🏨 Upon arrival, they took a mini-bus to the first hotel, Patong Bay Residence, noting that most Thai hotels have a check-in time around 2:00 PM.
⏰ For activity pickups (like the first scheduled event, the Phuket FantaSea Show), guests must be in the lobby 5 to 10 minutes early as vendors are very strict about timing and will not wait.

Phuket FantaSea Show Experience & Tips
🎫 Tickets for FantaSea can be purchased through platforms like MakeMyTrip or TripAdvisor, and it is recommended to book packages that include dinner and drop-off/pickup.
🗓️ The show typically only runs on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays and takes place in the second half of the day/evening.
💸 The cost was approximately 5500 THB per adult, with infants up to 100 cm in height getting free entry.
⚠️ A crucial tip is that the theatre show (starting at 9:00 PM sharp) is NOT baby-friendly due to loud music and fireworks; several parents with young children (even 3-4 years old) walked out due to the noise, suggesting skipping the theatre show if traveling with a baby.

Day 2 Activities: Rock Beach Swing & Temple Visit (Day 3)
📸 Day 2 included visiting the Rock Beach Swing, an aesthetic, Instagrammable cliff location with entry fees around 1500 THB per person, best visited before 4:00 PM to avoid peak heat.
🚗 Transportation to the Rock Beach Swing involved booking a private mini-van via the Bolt app and then taking a specific off-roading vehicle from the initial drop-off point to the cliff itself.
🙏 On Day 3, after checking out of the first hotel, they hired a driver for the day for 1200 THB to visit the Wat Chalong Temple (requiring at least 1.5 hours to explore) and then Karon Beach.

Island Hopping with an Infant (Day 4)
🚤 For island hopping, choose boats with side ventilation and a capacity of 35 to 40 people to manage crowds better; sit towards the rear end of the boat to minimize jolts from sea waves.
🦈 The itinerary included Maya Bay, which is a shark breeding zone where swimming is prohibited, and a snorkeling spot followed by a visit to Pileh Lagoon (recommended to visit via a 400 THB long-tail boat for the view).
👶 Toddlers should be kept in a lap on the boat rather than laid down to prevent injury from jerks; for toddlers eating solids, ensure they have two solid meals between the 3-4 hour stops on the full-day trip.

Key Points & Insights
➡️ First Day Relaxation: When arriving after a long or multi-flight journey, keep the first day relaxed to allow the baby to adjust and prevent crankiness/exhaustion.
➡️ FantaSea Tip: Do not miss the vibrant atmosphere outside the FantaSea theatre; arrive early to enjoy the cultural displays and utilize the buffet dinner (Asia's largest buffet).
➡️ Safety First on Tours: Never trust local street agencies that say infants of less than 3 months are allowed on island hopping trips due to continuous jerks; only book with renowned agencies.
➡️ Infant Essentials for Tours: Carry breathable cotton clothing, an umbrella, power bank, and hand fan; for infants under six months, bring thermos for warm water for bottle feeding.
