The frame shape, thickness, and depth are almost identical to the previous generation, retaining copper tints and featuring new lightning stripe decals.

What is the most significant structural change in the Thruster F Ultra?

The most significant change is the shaft diameter, which has been reduced to a measured 6.0 mm, making it the thinnest shaft measured on this channel.

Did the reviewer feel the thinner shaft resulted in a faster swing speed?

No, the reviewer did not feel the swing was faster; in fact, they felt this generation was slightly slower or more head-heavy compared to the previous one.

How does the playability of the Thruster F Ultra compare for new players versus returning users of the previous model?

Returning users from the previous generation will find the F Ultra much harder to play with and less forgiving; however, for brand new Victor players, it plays like a normal, decent, head-heavy racket.

What physical measurement did the reviewer take for the racket length?

The frame height was measured at 24 cm, and the frame width was 18.2 cm, almost identical to previous generations.

Victor Thruster F Ultra Racket Analysis
📌 The new generation Victor Thruster F Ultra is significantly less user-friendly and forgiving compared to its previous iteration, which was noted for its ease of play.
⚙️ The most significant design change is the shaft, which has been reduced to an advertised 5.8 mm diameter (measured at 6.0 mm flat), shared with the Orspeed 100X Ultra.
📐 Frame dimensions remain similar to the previous generation, with a frame height of 24 cm and width of 18.2 cm.

Performance Discrepancies Compared to Previous Model
😠 Players transitioning from the previous Thruster F will likely be disappointed due to the new model's inconsistent and harder-to-time response.
⚖️ The reviewer felt the new F Ultra played like a true head-heavy racket, unlike the previous model which was only slightly head-heavy, leading to a draggy feel during defense and short shots.
💥 Despite the thinner shaft, the reviewer did not perceive a faster swing feel; instead, timing overhead shots was challenging, and off-timing resulted in a dull vibration through the handle.

Target Audience Assessment
👍 For new players unfamiliar with the Thruster F series, the F Ultra is described as a normal, high-end, decent head-heavy racket without unique standout features.
⚠️ The change to a stiffer, thinner shaft seems to have compromised the overall feel and playability for existing users of the series.

Key Points & Insights

➡️ Despite expectations, the thinner shaft did not result in a faster swing feel; the reviewer found the new model potentially slower and more head-heavy than its predecessor.
